The information provided below is about some of the calls officers responded to over the last twenty-four (24) hours. Most narratives represent early and preliminary information that was gathered from those in the field who were actively working the cases. In many instances, facts and circumstances, even the type of crime listed, can change as the investigation unfolds.
From 6:00 a.m. on 04/10/2025 through 6:00 a.m. on 04/11/2025, MPD received 501 calls for service. This number does not include parking complaints or 911 misdials. A breakdown of the calls for service per district is as follows: Central (86), East (103), Midtown (86), North (93), South (53), West (71), and Other (9). "Other" is used for calls that either do not have a sector or the sector is not in the City. This would be used in the case of one of our officers assisting another law enforcement agency.

EAST: Traffic Complaint – 7:20 am. Traffic signals at S Stoughton Rd and Buckeye Rd were malfunctioning for several hours. Officers assisted with traffic control.
EAST: Missing Adult – 7:36 am. A man reported that his 93 year old mother was not in the house when he woke up. Officers located the woman unharmed in another part of the building and reunited her with her family.
MIDTOWN: Adult Arrested Person – 12:22 pm. Officers located a 20-year-old male suspect with multiple warrants for his arrest and took him into custody.
CENTRAL: Traffic Arrest – 5:44 pm. Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with an expired registration. The 47-year-old male suspect was arrested on warrants and conveyed to jail.
NORTH: Runaway Juvenile – 8:10 pm. A mother reported her 13-year-old son did not return home from his girlfriend's house. An ATL was aired and the juvenile was reported as missing.
CENTRAL: Assist EMS/Fire – 9:43 pm. Officers responded with MFD paramedics to a residence where a man attempted suicide. MFD transported the man to the hospital.
WEST: Weapons Offense – 11:33 pm. A victim reported he was injured while walking after hearing two loud bangs from a passing car. Officers determined the victim may have been shot at by an unidentified suspect with whom the victim had a past dispute. Investigation continuing.
